Secondary Application Process
Step 1: Submit an application online
All application materials are available on our website including the online application and recommendation and transcript forms to give to your teachers and school.
If you are ready to submit an application for your child, please click here for our Online Application. The completed application is due December 12, 2016. The application deadline for siblings of current Oakwood students is October 7, 2016.
Step 2: Register for the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE)
You can register for the ISEE through the ERB website or by calling 800.446.0320.
Please request that student score reports be sent to Oakwood School; the school code number is 052146.
Applicants should take the ISEE no later than January 20, 2017. Sibling applicants should take the ISEE no later than December 15, 2016.
Please register for a test date as soon as possible because local sites fill up quickly.

Step 3: Submit Teacher Recommendations and Transcript
In addition to the application and interview, the following are needed to complete an applicant's file:
Confidential Teacher Recommendations from the student's current English and Math teachers. If a student has one teacher for math and English, the second recommendation may be submitted by an academic teacher who has taught the student during the past two years.
Confidential Administrative Recommendation from a school administrator who is familiar with the student.
School Records which include the student's current first semester grades, grades from the preceding two academic years, and all standardized test scores.
We must receive these recommendations and school records by January 20, 2017.
Step 4: Visit Campus for a Tour and Interview
Once we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule a campus tour and interview.
Campus visits run about 1.5 hours. Parent(s) and student should come for the campus visit which includes a family interview, student interview and a campus tour.
