Oakwood Fair Goes Green
One day. One school. One earth.
The spring ritual which is the Oakwood Fair, coming up on May 18, will go green this year, and will be held once again at the incomparable Hirsh Family Ranch. It will be an "earth-friendly" day with carnival rides, music, food, fun and of course, the incredible silent auction.
In addition, the fair will be "carbon neutral." Being carbon neutral means we will balance out any damage to the earth caused by the energy output of the fair. Prior to the fair, we will undergo an evaluation to determine the carbon impact and the offset needed to attain our goal. A donation will be made by the Parent Organization to support reforestation in order to attain neutral status.
In an effort to reduce the use of paper, there will be only one mailing, printed on recycled paper. If you need any of the flyers or forms, they may be found in the section below.
