Voluntary giving is essential to preserving the exceptional educational experience that distinguishes Oakwood. Oakwood, like all independent schools, depends on financial support from the school's entire community including parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, foundations and other friends. Every gift, regardless of size makes an impact.

Make a gift to the Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is Oakwood’s first fundraising priority and supplements the annual operating budget. Contributions to the Annual Fund enable the school to meet operating expenses not covered by tuition. Every gift, regardless of size, supports both of our campuses, every department, program, classroom, faculty member and student at Oakwood.

In addition to annual expenses, Oakwood fundraising programs also plan for the future.

Make a gift to the Endowment
The most powerful safeguard for Oakwood's long-term well-being is its endowment. An endowment is a fund in which the principal and most earnings are protected, in perpetuity, and only a small percentage of the investment income is used to supplement the school’s budget. Oakwood’s endowment is made up of 12 separate funds that support financial aid and enrich academic, arts, and student programs at the school.  View a list of the various endowment funds.

Capital giving enables Oakwood to construct new facilities and renovate existing buildings. Throughout our history, generous families have supported major land and building acquisitions and have helped to build The Play Space and other buidings. Learn more about future plans. Each spring the Special Event raises money for the endowment.  Your support of the Special Event ensures long-term stability and a healthy financial future for Oakwood.
