FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Why should I give to the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund is Oakwood's highest fundraising priority because it covers the gap between tuition and the actual cost of providing an Oakwood education. Annual Fund gifts are used during the year in which they are received and make an immediate impact on our students.

We ask all members of our community—parents, Trustees, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, staff and friends—to help make our school, our mission and most importantly our students, families, and faculty a philanthropic priority during our Annual Fund Giving Drive. We will kick off our Annual Fund Giving Drive in early October, and it will go through the end of the school year, but we ask that families pledge their support by December 31 and pay their pledge by June 30.
  • What are Oakwood's Leadership Giving Levels?

  • What is the Special Event?

  • Why should I give to Endowments?

Endowment gifts help ensure the long-term health of Oakwood School. While endowments are protected in perpetuity, a small percentage is used each year for programs such as our financial assistance program, which benefits 20% of our families.
  • What is the Capital Fund?

Capital Campaigns raise funds to build new structures or make improvements to existing ones. While we are not currently in an active Capital Campaign, each family will be invited to participate in one during their time at Oakwood.

We would love to welcome you to our team! Parents and grandparents, please contact Kat Haro. Alumni, please contact Christie Guevara.
