BETTER TOGETHER

The Special Event

Sunday, March 1, 2020
Hollywood Palladium

Thank you to everyone in our community who turned out for this year's incredible Special Event concert, featuring a phenomenal once-in-a lifetime lineup of performers!

Net proceeds from our annual Special Event directly benefit the Scholarship Endowment Fund, which generates funding for our financial assistance program and helps to provide access to an Oakwood education for current and future generations. Oakwood is committed to its purposeful and robust efforts to assure inclusion and socioeconomic diversity by providing financial assistance to qualifying families. This year, Oakwood granted over $4.6 million in financial assistance, supporting 1 in 6 of our students. Together, with your support, we are working to break down barriers by making an Oakwood education possible to an even greater number of students. We have been able to provide financial assistance to 137 students this year alone, which represents 17% of our student community.

Thanks to the Board Special Event co-chairs Greg Kurstin '87 and Monifa Sims for their dedication in planning this fun program and concert for the Oakwood School community.
