Why Give?

Why Contribute?

Your gift makes a difference! Annual Fund contributions make an immediate and profound impact each and every day in the lives of students and teachers, gifts to the Endowment ensure that Oakwood remains able to commit additional resources to critical school programs in perpetuity and capital donations enhance our campuses in new and exciting ways. It takes the collective generosity of our entire community of parents and guardians, students, educators, alumni, parents of alumni and grandparents to provide a transformative Oakwood experience for our students. Thank you for your support!

The Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is our first fundraising priority and has an immediate impact on students because these funds are used to support teaching and learning this year. Oakwood flourishes because of the Annual Fund. Together with tuition revenue, the Annual Fund covers the actual cost of providing an Oakwood education and gifts are used this year, making an immediate impact on our students.

Immediate Use Funding is for a restricted purpose. These Annual Fund gifts are used during the year in which they are received. They may be designated for specific areas of the school or programs like Financial Assistance or Support Services and start at $50,000.
Thank you for your support! It takes our entire community of parents, students, educators, alumni, and grandparents to lead our students on their journey of transformative learning experiences.

The Scholarship Endowment Fund

The annual Scholarship Endowment fundraiser, The Special Event, will take place in the spring of 2022. Net proceeds from The Special Event, benefit the Scholarship Endowment Fund providing funding for our financial assistance program which covers costs like tuition, meals, bussing, books, laptops, and more. Your support opens doors and creates opportunities by providing access to an Oakwood education for elementary and secondary families from all socioeconomic backgrounds.

Capital Campaigns

List of 3 items.

  • The Oakwood Kitchen and Serving Space - Current Campaign

Our new Oakwood Kitchen, elementary campus serving space, and secondary campus dining courtyard enabled us to launch Oakwood’s new nutrition program in the Fall of 2021. Our goal is to nourish bodies in addition to minds with an equitable source of quality meals prepared fresh for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as teachers and staff. The entire Oakwood community is now benefiting from healthy meals, and community spaces, that prepare us all for teaching and learning.

  • The Secondary Campus Pedestrian Bridge - Recent Campaign

Oakwood School’s most recent capital campaign for our Secondary Campus Pedestrian Bridge was made possible by our generous community of supporters.
  • The Story Center and Music Studio - Recent Campaign

The Story Center, residing at the heart of the elementary school campus, is a multi-dimensional "home" for innovative teaching and learning experiences. It is a hub where stories provide the nexus for inquiry, research, collaboration, and creativity.
The state-of-the-art Music Studio is designed to promote understanding and cultivate appreciation of the music-making process through instruction, theory, composition, and performance.
Our deepest gratitude to the many, many parents (past and present), alumni families, staff members, and others who made these buildings possible.
