THE ANNUAL FUND is vital to delivering an Oakwood education as the contributions raised support teaching & learning, DEIB efforts, campus enhancements, professional development for teachers & staff, and much more. With students back on campus full-time and so many programs and initiatives underway, now is the time to ensure that we keep this momentum going.
Your generosity and commitment to providing students with meaningful academic, social, artistic, and athletic experiences, while also helping to create opportunities for even more families to gain access to an Oakwood education, is deeply appreciated.
Immediate Use Funding is for a restricted purpose. These Annual Fund gifts are used during the year in which they are received. They may be designated for specific areas of the school or programs like Financial Assistance or Support Services and start at $50,000.
The annual Scholarship Endowment fundraiser, The Special Event, will take place in the spring of 2022. Net proceeds from The Special Event, benefit the Scholarship Endowment Fund providing funding for our financial assistance program which covers costs like tuition, meals, bussing, books, laptops, and more. Your support opens doors and creates opportunities by providing access to an Oakwood education for elementary and secondary families from all socioeconomic backgrounds.
Our new Oakwood Kitchen, elementary campus serving space, and secondary campus dining courtyard enabled us to launch Oakwood’s new nutrition program in the Fall of 2021. Our goal is to nourish bodies in addition to minds with an equitable source of quality meals prepared fresh for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as teachers and staff. The entire Oakwood community is now benefiting from healthy meals, and community spaces, that prepare us all for teaching and learning.
The Story Center, residing at the heart of the elementary school campus, is a multi-dimensional "home" for innovative teaching and learning experiences. It is a hub where stories provide the nexus for inquiry, research, collaboration, and creativity.
The state-of-the-art Music Studio is designed to promote understanding and cultivate appreciation of the music-making process through instruction, theory, composition, and performance.
Our deepest gratitude to the many, many parents (past and present), alumni families, staff members, and others who made these buildings possible.
