Christie Guevara

Dear Alumni,

Happy fall! We have kicked off the 2019-2020 school year with a new Head of School, Jaime Dominguez, whose vision brought together the first ever K-12 assembly on the secondary campus. It was quite a moment to share with the entire school and I hope to spread that energy and enthusiasm to reengage with our amazing alumni. I will be working closely with our dedicated Alumni Council to grow and enhance our alumni network and resources.

As Jaime shared in his letter last month, this year’s theme is Better Together. We have new fun events planned for alumni this year, including an upcoming reception at Oakwood on Tuesday, October 29. I’ve also just returned from a fantastic reunion with our Seattle area alumni and am excited to continue gathering alumni across the country. My next stops will be on the east coast – so look out Boston, New York and DC alumni!

We invite you to come back for a campus tour, attend an alumni happy hour, join the Alumni Council, and get involved with our alumni program. I encourage you to reach out and stay connected because Oakwood is truly a better place when we are together.

I look forward to seeing you soon!

Cheers,

Christie Guevara
Director of Alumni Relations

ALUMNI GIVING

Oakwood holds a special place in the hearts of all who have walked its campuses and studied in its buildings. Whether your memories return to your favorite class, a mentoring teacher, your volunteer experiences, or the lifelong friendships that began here, the common threads among Oakwood Alumni and their families are the life-changing experiences had by students. We are so grateful for your continued support and thank you in advance for your generosity!

Join us, and make a gift to Oakwood today!

ALUMNI COUNCIL & VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

The Oakwood Alumni Council is the cornerstone of our volunteer leadership and provides opportunities to get involved with our Annual Giving and/or Events Committees. This volunteer committee meets on campus approximately every other month to plan and implement Alumni related initiatives, activities, and events.

We are always looking for alumni who are available to volunteer on an ad hoc basis for fun events. Contact Christie Guevara for more information.
