The Annual Fund bridges the gap between the revenue received from tuition and the actual cost of providing an Oakwood education. Gifts to the Annual Fund become part of the operating budget and are used during the year in which they are made, therefore having an immediate impact on students. Your donations support all facets of life at Oakwood including enhancements to academic programming, the arts, our elementary and secondary athletics departments, co-curricular initiatives, and our entire faculty and staff including specialists in academic technology, math, experiential learning, science, and support services. Gifts from parents, grandparents, alumni families, faculty, staff, and friends help make this possible.
Oakwood depends on the generosity of our community to continue to provide exceptional learning experiences.
At Oakwood, we are proud of our strong and longstanding tradition of parent participation in the Annual Fund. It is an expectation of every parent in our community. Last year we reached 99% parent involvement—one of the highest rates among independent schools in our area. Not only is parent involvement an important measure of our success, it also helps generate additional funding from outside the Oakwood community.
Oakwood is not alone. Every independent school relies on its Annual Fund to help bridge the gap between the cost of tuition and what it actually costs to educate students.
Each day, every teacher, staff member, and administrator arrives at school with a shared goal: to fulfill our mission to provide the best quality education we can.
Your gift enables us to do this work.
